Sovereign House GH - Life Skills

Our Aim

Our aims are to encourage individuality and respect for others, promote confidence and self-worth, encourage social interaction, and more. The classes are all-inclusive and of mixed age and ability. The children are encouraged to discuss topics of mutual interest raised in class, which have included bullying, life prospects and future careers, respect, leadership, and self-esteem. Local heroes and professionals have been invited to share their life stories, and the interactions have been very positive with glowing feedback.

Development

The children develop a can-do attitude with a strong belief in themselves and are empowered to achieve better results at school, alongside a positive future outlook.

Using the project as a foundation, we intend to periodically invite local heroes of different professions to have sessions interacting with the children, share their experiences in their careers, to help the children envision brighter futures, and so integrate better with their peers and the community.
