Sovereign House GH Awarded Cellnex Digital Inclusion Grant

Sovereign House GH has been awarded £5000 from the Cellnex Digital Inclusion fund, to support our activity providing computer learning opportunities to young people and adults across Salford and Bury. We are so grateful to Cellnex and Forever Manchester for believing in our work! This fund will allow us to pay for the resources we need to grow, and reach even more people.

About the Fund

The Cellnex Digital Inclusion Fund aims to support community projects tackling digital exclusion across Greater Manchester.  The Fund will focus on three main themes that align with the Greater Manchester Digital Inclusion Strategy as follows:

  • Empowering communities and places
  • Increasing confidence, skills and motivation
  • Affordability, accessibility and connectivity

About the Funders

Cellnex UK is part of Cellnex Telecom, Europe’s largest independent telecoms infrastructure provider. With the wireless infrastructure foundation that they deliver across rural and urban areas, Cellnex UK connects everyone, everywhere.

Their commitment to connectivity extends beyond infrastructure; they are dedicated to closing the digital divide in the UK, helping people stay connected by promoting digital skills and providing access to digital devices and services to the communities that need it most.

With one of their biggest UK offices located in Manchester, they are committed to helping the region thrive. Digital inclusion is key to social and economic prosperity, and they are proud to be working with Forever Manchester to ensure that communities have the tools they need for an increasingly digitised society.

Forever Manchester is a charity that raises money to fund and support community activity across Greater Manchester. They believe that connected communities make stronger, happier communities, so they love any activity that brings people together.

Forever Manchester cares about those people who care enough to act. They champion local people doing extraordinary things together. And when advice, encouragement and funding is needed, Forever Manchester is there to provide a hand up to support them.

Since Forever Manchester was established in 1989 they have delivered over £59 million into local communities. All of the money raised for Forever Manchester is used to fund and support over 1,300 community projects each year.
